The Brutal Truth About Your Life Bank Accounts

When people hear the word “bank account”, they typically think about money.

However, we have many different life bank accounts:

  1. Skills bank account
  2. Health bank account
  3. Energy bank account
  4. Fitness bank account
  5. Freedom bank account
  6. Financial bank account
  7. Attention bank account
  8. Emotional bank account
  9. Knowledge bank account
  10. Relationships bank account

All these things add up to the value you have to offer.

If you never make deposits, you won’t have anything to withdraw.

And the crazy thing?

A lot of people don’t even realize these bank accounts exist.

Either:

  1. They neglect them
  2. They allow others to endlessly raid them

However, when you have principles + self-worth, your bank accounts have a pincode.

For others to gain access, they must align with your principles.

If they do nothing but take from you, eventually their account gets closed for overdrawn funds.

If you don’t have principles, you’ll make excuses to let people keep taking even if your account’s running low.

And there’s no end to these kind of mental gymnastics.

It’s like a leaky bucket.

You can’t fill it when it keeps getting drained.

No matter how much work you put in, you stay stagnant.

Just like when you get on a plane and they tell you to:

“Put your oxygen mask on first before helping others.”

The same rule applies.

When you fix the leaks first and then let your bucket overflow, you put yourself in a better position to share.
