What’s good, it’s M.I.
Today I want to talk about the 8 most valuable forms of digital real estate ranked in order.
- Your offer
- Your email list / newsletter / private group
- Your website / landing page
- Your social media accounts
- Youtube videos
- TikTok
- Pins
- Tweets
Let’s break them down.
1. Offer
Why is offer first?
It’s your money maker.
If you have one solid offer, you have financial freedom.
This is your cash cow.
The next second best thing is affiliate offers, but you don’t own them.
Offer is number one because you own it and it has staying power.
If an offer is validated, you can sell it forever pretty much.
2. Email list / Private Group
Why is this number two?
This is your client base / customer list.
You own the traffic.
There’s that principle again:
OWNERSHIP.
(The most important thing).
If you own the list, you own the traffic.
You’re not a slave to:
- Facebook ads
- Google ads
- Other kind of ads
- Or influencers
You can tap into your own traffic at will and sell your offer.
3. Website / Landing Page
This is your central hub of offers.
It’s pretty much your digital business card.
It’s slightly less valuable than the other numbers because it’s more passive.
4. Social Media Accounts
Social media accounts is next because it’s also a form of business card.
But, you don’t ultimately own the platform.
You’ve seen people get rugged all the time where their account gets deleted over the whims of the company.
The accounts are still valuable and you can still make sales with them.
Build an audience to get them to your:
- Website
- Email list
- And other stuff
But you still lack that ownership.
So, if you have them you ultimately want to direct people to things you own.
5. Youtube Video
Youtube videos are next because out of all the social media real estate, they have longer staying power.
One video uploaded in 2008 could still be getting you sales.
People still watch old videos more than they look at other kinds of content.
6. TikTok
TikTok is hot right now because the algorithm is crazy.
But it doesn’t have as strong staying power as Youtube and the other ones.
7. Pins on Pinterest
These also have staying power but they’re more consumable than long-form content.
8. Tweets
Tweets are just bites.
Sound bites.
Little snacks you use to connect with people.
They don’t really have as much staying power, but they’re still valuable.
Conclusion
These forms of digital real estate are ranked by ownership and staying power.
The main principle is always ownership and how long it lasts.
If you put work into creating content and websites, you want it to last for a long time.
If you spend your time tweeting all day, you’re not really building anything.
Even though you can build an account, your account can still get deleted randomly.
So you want to compile these things into longer forms of content and ownership that will pay you and your family forever.
This is the principle you don’t want to ignore.
You want to focus on ownership at all costs.
