30 Lessons In 30 Years Of Life

1. It’s best to carve your own niche, even when you may seemingly not fit the mold. The best jobs don’t require a resume

2. Success comes not in big wins, but in avoiding game-ending losses.

3. The most important skill you can have is cutting people out of your life. Toxic people are NOT “a part of life”.

4. When something makes you angry repeatedly, there’s a serious lesson waiting for you to see it.

5. What matters is where you put your focus.

6. Beware of people with good intentions, who haven’t even learned the most basic life lessons.

7. “Intellectual” veneers obscure the underlying reality.

8. Some days take years to build.

9. Society is structured to level you down to the norm. You must have strategies to resist the leveling process.

10. You don’t know the value of something until you suffer from ignorance or violation of it. Lessons not learned in blood, sweat, and tears are soon forgotten. The “brutal” laws of the jungle are less brutal than the real-life consequences of ignoring reality.

11. Happiness is earned, not bought.

12. It can take years to figure out how social predators work (if at all). Effective ones act 80% innocent. Hidden in plain sight. It’s very subtle.

13. One thought leads to another because of association. There is no logical connection, only association in your mind. What most people call “thinking” is really a blind association of thoughts. Associations are a subconscious trigger for thinking.

14. Every industry requires you to be a good hoe and play your part until you can pimp yourself.

15. You can delegate work, but not thinking (mindset).

16. You know you’ve mastered a lesson when the situation is the same but you respond differently.

17. Time + Effort + Energy + Attention = Your most important assets

18. The most engaged yet least attached wins

19 .You gotta make people feel smaller sometimes so they don’t take you for granted.

20. Structure your life to win by default.

21. Reputation, incentives, execution, efficiency, opportunity cost, branding, perception, position, internal growth, ownership = everything.

22. Patterns of behavior = who someone really is

23. Deciding what NOT to do is as important as deciding what to do. It’s as important to repel as to attract. Life is about focusing on the few things that matter.

24. Change your values to change your actions.

25. All power rests on principles.

26. It’s extremely important to filter your inputs.

27. Success is a constant, daily activity. Not a goal to be reached. What usually matters isn’t the breakthrough moment, but the quality of your daily practice. The most important habit is good character.

28. Good is the enemy of great.

29. Knowing when to ignore is an important life skill.

30. The most important relationship is the one you have with yourself.
